Hi everyone! Just wanted to update you on what I’m currently doing with this blog and my writing…
I’ve decided to stop publishing my poetry online for the moment as I’m looking into getting a first collection published. My other wild plans include trying my hand at writing and illustrating for children (eek), experimenting a bit more with English as well as Scottish writing and generally just continuing to develop myself as a writer.
In the meantime I’m going to make a concerted effort to visit here regularly and write about whatever is bouncing around in my head on that day. This will either make for a load of absolute rubbish or (hopefully) something vaguely interesting and insightful that you’ll enjoy reading.
At the very least it’ll allow me to continue posting on here and to thank everyone who follows me for their continued support and encouragement of my writing (which is appreciated more than I can say).
I’ll hopefully have some poetry for you again very soon! As always, please feel free to get in touch with me via email on firstname.lastname@example.org or Twitter (@lornalou92) and tell me about your own writing aspirations and anything you’d like me to write about.
I’ll leave you for now with a photo of the beautiful poetry I’m reading: ‘Bovine Pastoral’ by the wonderful Scottish poet, Jim Carruth. I don’t think I’ve sat down and properly appreciated poetry since I was at Uni and I’d forgotten how incredibly inspiring it can be.
